Who we are

The controller of your personal data is SEE Talent, a strategic talent firm based in San Salvador, El Salvador ("SEE Talent", "we", "us").

This policy explains what data we collect through the website see-talent.com and the communications you start from it, what we use it for and what rights you have. If you have any questions, write to us at info@see-talent.com.

What data we collect

Data you give us

• When you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, contact details, company and the content of your message.
• When you apply for a job: openings are published through Halaxia, the platform we use to manage applications. The data you enter there (for example your résumé, experience and contact details) is received by Halaxia on our behalf. You can also email us your résumé.
• When you take our self-assessment: the self-assessment based on the SEE 3.0 Method is completed in Google Forms, and we process the answers you submit.

Data collected automatically

• Usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, time spent, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location (city or country). Google Analytics does not show us who you are.
• Server logs: like any website, our hosting provider records technical data about each request (IP address, browser, date and time) to run and protect the site.

This site does not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include it in your messages or documents unless it is strictly necessary for a selection process.

How we use your data

• To answer your enquiries and quote requests, and follow up on them.
• To provide our talent attraction, assessment and development services.
• To run selection processes: assessing your profile and, where appropriate, presenting it to the client company looking to fill the role.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve its content and performance.
• To keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for personalized advertising.

Legal basis

• Your consent: for analytics cookies and for presenting your profile to client companies. You can withdraw it at any time.
• A contract or steps before one: when you ask us for information or hire our services.
• Our legitimate interest: to run and protect the site and improve our services, provided your rights do not override it.
• Compliance with legal obligations that apply to us.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We only use the essential ones and, with your permission, analytics.

Necessary

• see-consent (browser local storage): remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again. Duration: 12 months. As it is needed to respect your decision, it does not require consent.
• see-lang-prompt (browser local storage): remembers that you already answered the suggestion to view the site in English. It stays until you clear the site's data, and only stores your language preference.

Analytics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4, which only loads if you accept analytics cookies. In that case, it sets:

• _ga: distinguishes visitors with a random identifier. Duration: 2 years.
• _ga_[ID]: keeps the state of your session. Duration: 2 years.

If you decline or withdraw your consent, we do not load Google Analytics, and we remove those cookies from your browser. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. More information in Google's privacy policy.

Third-party content

Some pages embed content from other services: podcast episodes play in the Spotify player, and the openings on the jobs page are shown from Halaxia. When they load, these services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies, for example Spotify's.

Who we share your data with

We only share your data when it is needed for the purposes above:

• Client companies: if you take part in a selection process, we share your profile with the company offering the role, with your consent.
• Service providers: web hosting, email, Halaxia (application management), Google (Analytics and Forms) and WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us that way. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own policies.
• Authorities: when a law or an order from a competent authority requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers, such as Google or Meta, may process your data outside El Salvador, for example in the United States. In those cases we work with providers that offer appropriate safeguards for your data, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

• Enquiries and communications: as long as needed to handle and follow up on them, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless there is a business relationship.
• Candidate data: during the selection process and up to two years afterwards, so we can consider you for future opportunities, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
• Analytics data: up to 14 months, per Google Analytics' data retention setting.
• Data subject to legal obligations: for the period the law requires.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection at any time, and ask for portability of your data or the restriction of its processing. You can also withdraw your consent whenever you like, without affecting processing carried out before.

To exercise them, email info@see-talent.com stating your request. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will reply within 30 days at most. If you feel we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorized access: the site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to personal data to the people who need it for their work. No system is infallible, so we review these measures regularly.

Minors

This site and our services are aimed at businesses and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Links to other sites

The site contains links to third-party sites, such as our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and recommend reading their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site, our services or applicable law. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
